the day after

It's been a rough day.  My guy lost yesterday, and although I am not an "emotional"' eater, I have consumed every bit of chocolate I could find today along with a half a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream.  It didn't help. As I was making the twenty minute drive to pick up our soccer carpool tonight, I decided to stop listening to the endless talk show election analysis and switch to the Big Eighties channel.  Comic relief.  It was Bonnie Tyler singing, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", and I had to smile as I was taken back to my junior high days.  The days when I didn't care about politics or elections, and my biggest concern was how to save up enough money( a whopping thirty dollars) to buy one of those "authentic forenza" sweaters from The Limited.  I sometimes miss those teenage years of being completely oblivious to the realities of life. As an adult and a parent, those "realities" can be overwhelming at times.  I always come back to the things that matter most to me. Thank you, Mitt, for fighting for what I believe in.
 God. Family. America.

You ran a good race Mr. Romney and you have my most sincere respect and gratitude.
